Milt Smedsrud and
his wife, Birgitta, own and operate the Smedsrud
family farm in rural Battle Lake, MN. As founder of the CA
Scholarship and Education Foundation, Milt's vision is to provide
opportunities to youth, both domestic and international, who
may otherwise not be able to achieve their goals. Milt has served on
numerous boards of directors and committees and has an extensive background
in international exchange. In 1985, it was Milt's leadership which
led the Foundation to receive the authority to offer an exchange program;
which has now become the largest agricultural exchange program in the USA.

Wayne
Nelson of Winner, SD, along with his wife, Pat, farm wheat
and sorghum on their family farm. The Nelson's have also hosted many
dignitaries on their farm to partake in one of South Dakota's best pheasant
hunting areas. Wayne has served on various boards of directors and is
knowledgeable in all aspects of legislative affairs. Wayne spends
much of his time traveling to Washington, D.C., and state capitals doing
legislative and policy work on behalf of the Foundation.

Ben Schierer has been the Director of the CA Foundation
since 2009. Ben also serves as CA's
Vice President of Government Relations. Prior to joining CA, Ben served on
the Fergus Falls (MN) City Council from 2005-2009, where he served as
acting mayor and chairman of the Finance and Personnel committee. Ben and
his wife, Tessa, and their 5 children live in Fergus Falls, Minn. He is
very active in his community, and has served on the board of directors for
a number of community non-profit organizations including A Center for the
Arts, Kaddatz Galleries, Fergus Falls Convention
and Visitors Bureau, Federated Church and PEG Access Television.
